In calgary, the mercury was 3 C at the dinner hour

and it snowed for the first time in recorded history on this date.

Environment Canada issued a warning Thursday night

indicating a disturbance from northern Montana was poised 

to wallop southern Alberta with snow.

 

We could wake up to 10 to 20 centimetres of the white stuff this morning

-potentially damaging any spring gardening already done,

the experts warn.

 

Indeed, it's May and it snowed again in Calgary -

and much more of the white stuff is on the way.

Thursday marked the first time it has snowed in Calgary on May 27

since statististics were first recorded in 1885.

The Flurries are expected to continue into Saturday

 

It will start to warm up Saturday afternoon,

but only to a high of 4C.

The weekend should end on a high note.

 

Sunday is going to be a dry day,

the mercury is expected to hit 11C.
